London-based interior design imprint Child Studio has just revealed its latest project set in the capital’s extravagant Mayfair neighborhood. Hidden behind an intimate courtyard mews, the residence commissioned by a concealed hotelier and restaurateur is the perfect space to host and entertain guests.

Inspired by Yves Saint Laurent‘s Grand Salon at Rue de Babylone in Paris, Child Studio received a blank canvas that triggered creativity from ’60s Art Deco and ’70s Modernist references. Designers Che Huang and Alexy Kos transformed the living room into a mid-century paradise, featuring round pillars, structural fireplaces, and soft wooden flooring. In addition, the room is enchanted by various collectible artwork contributing to its relaxed atmosphere.

Open-air skylights fill the structure with sunlight throughout the day, while wooden accents supply warmth across dated libraries and kitchen storage in the dining room and office. Furthermore, Mahogany wood and natural marble details further contrast the residence, completed with green upholstery and eclectic decorations that grant a vintage feel.

Take a look inside Child Studio’s new London Mayfair project in the gallery above.

Elsewhere, “Battery House” in Mallorca combines terracotta tones and wooden details.
