Lionsgate surprised Saw fans with an official release date of Saw XI.

The studio took to social media to announce a September 27, 2024 release date for the 11th film in the horror franchise. “The game continues,” the caption read, but failed to reveal any additional information such as the director attached, a cast and plot details. Saw XI will hit theaters just about a year after its predecessor, which served a sequel to Saw and Saw II.

Saw X featured the return of Tobin Bell as John Kramer and Shawnee Smith as Amanda Young. It followed Kramer’s attempt to cure his terminal cancer only to find out that the operation is fraudulent. Angered by the scam, he returns to his old ways and takes revenge on those responsible using his fatal “games.” The film grossed $53 million USD in North America and $107 million USD worldwide, with a $13 million USD budget.

Check out the announcement below and stay tuned for an official trailer.
