Greubel Forsey’s has unveiled its latest timepiece, the Balancier 3. Designed to be an entry-level watch, the Balancier 3 joins the Convexe collection and stands out with its open-worked titanium architecture, available in both black and blue finish.

The Balancier 3 is designed to be a testament to Greubel Forsey’s ethos of innovation and 100% hand-finishing. The watch’s identity is defined by its three-dimensional bridges – one carrying the barrel, another the large balance wheel and a third featuring the seconds counter, hour and minute hands. Each element showcases the watchmaker’s craftsmanship, with curved polished surfaces, sharp internal angles and hand-polished screws.

From a technical perspective, the timepiece is powered by two series-coupled fast-rotating barrels, visible through its sapphire case back, offering a 72-hour chronometric power reserve. The large balance wheel, named “Balancier,” is the heart of the watch, visible between 4 and 6 o’clock and is fine-tuned with six gold mean-time screws.

Designed to provide a comfortable fit, the watch follows the natural curvature of the wearer’s wrist, featuring a double curvature towards each end of the strap, which also works to enhance its visual appeal. Additional design elements include the wide bridge supporting the hour and minute hands, boasting complex geometry and sporting a hand-finished look.

With a diameter of 41.5 mm and limited to 88 pieces in each color, the Balancier 3 is meant to be an exclusive creation. Collectors can choose between a rubber strap or a Greubel Forsey titanium bracelet for further personalization. At the time of writing, the price of the watch has yet to be revealed, however, interested collectors can learn more via Greubel Forsey’s official site.
