Nike Unveils Kobe Mamba Mentality Apparel Capsule
Led by an $824 USD Men’s Destroyer Jacket.
Nike has revealed the Kobe Mamba Mentality apparel collection, complete with a sleek varsity-style jacket, reworked jersey and t-shirt. Drawing inspiration from Kobe Bryant‘s off-court mindset, Nike writes that “each piece in this premium apparel collection is an opportunity to embody the Mamba Mentality—and a reminder of what it takes to be a champion.”
The Men’s Destroyer Jacket, which runs for $824 USD, is crafted from a cozy wool blend and full-grain leather. “Passion, obsession, resilience, relentlessness, fearlessness,” is embroidered on the top right, with Kobe’s insignia on the left. Snakeskin-embossed sleeves are lined with satin and see inner insulation as well. #8 and #24 are embroidered on the back of the jet-black silhouette.
Elsewhere, a men’s t-shirt sees Kobe’s logo on the front side and pays tribute to the athlete’s admirable stats on the back – repping #8 and #24, and boasting the dates of his five championship wins. Rounding out the range is the City Edition Swingman Jersey – available in Men’s and Big Kids sizing. Sweat-wicking fabric takes a black, embossed snakeskin pattern, and classic team branding ties the replica Los Angeles Lakers City Edition jersey together.
