Filipino musician and producer Eyedress and María Zardoya-led The Marías joined forces on the track “Separate Ways” earlier this month. Today, the divine duo of musicians unveiled the claymation music video for the dreamy cut.

Directed and animated by Los Angeles-based PRTND Studios, the music video follows Eyedress’ family as they venture to space to rescue Eyedress and The Marías’ Maria Zardoya – both of whom were abducted by aliens. “Used to meet me at the bar / Didn’t drive a fancy car / You would tell me how you are / Never kept me in the dark,” Eyedress croons on the verse as the vibrant visual immerses viewers in the clay metropolis – complete with “Missing” posters of Zardoya and Eyedress.

“Hated that we went our separate ways / Maybe we just need some time to change / Maybe in the future, I could stay / Wait, for once I got a lot to say,”  Zardoya delivers on an ethereal chorus.

Eyedress and The Marías are slated to release their second joint single before the end of 2023. Check out the trippy music video above to see if Eyedress and Zardoya make it back to Earth.

“Separate Ways” is streaming on Spotify and Apple Music now.
