Central Cee Drops First Single of 2023, "Entrapreneur"
“Went from a Toyota Yaris to a Urus, I still got the same work rate as before.”
With just nine days left in 2023, Central Cee is dropping off his first solo single of the year. Bolstered by the success of what may have been the most-played song of the year “Sprinter” with Dave, his viral “On The Radar” Freestyle with Drake, and, most recently, his feature on PinkPantheress’ “Nice to meet you,” “Entrapreneur” rounds out a major year for the UK rapper.
A homage to streetwear, the two-and-a-half-minute track sees the rapper reflecting on his past and present lives and kicks off with an intro by fashion entrepreneur Mikey Trapstar. “The trap still running, it’s never turnin’ off / Different product, same hustle mentality,” the cut opens. In the accompanying music video, Cench galivants across London and Lapland, performing the track in a warehouse, gas station and atop his car.
“Entrapraneur” comes complete with a shout to “Sprinter” on the chorus: “We put the trap in the entrepreneur / All of the time we spent in the field, woulda thought I got me a Ballon d’Or / I’m stackin’, not droppin’ a bag in Dior / Went from a Toyota Yaris to Urus, I still got the same work rate as before (Work rate as before) / Two years that I ain’t been home, seven-hundred and thirty days on tour.”
