ochs und junior Re-Releases the selene nebra in All Its Glory
Arriving in 39mm and 42mm case sizes.
Under a customer’s specific request in 2013, ochs und junior crafted the selene nebra, a memorable one-off reference inspired by the Bronze Age artifact known as the Nebra Sky Disc. A decade later, the Swiss watchmaker is now offering the extraordinary model as a time-limited release in time for the holiday season.
As a tribute, the design of the watch honors the important artifact’s emblematic appearance, which is comprised of a teal-hued patina that’s inlaid with celestial symbols in gold. The re-released selene nebra features the brand’s signature minimalist dial, boasting a turquoise-colored dial plate and central seconds hand. Meanwhile, its hour and minute hands, stick indices, and 12 o’clock mark are embellished in a textured gold-tone.
Outfitted in a two-part titanium watch case, the reference is offered in both 42mm and 39mm case sizes. The selene nebra is equipped with the ETA 2824-2 movement, which powers the watch to run continuously for up to 38 hours. Essentially a Moonphase time-teller, the timepiece demonstrates a visual indication of the lunar phases on its crescent-shaped center, while the perimeter that encircles it provides the day of the month.
Arriving with an Ecopell Olifant leather strap, the selene nebra 2023 special edition has a price point of 8,100 CHF (approximately $8,994 USD) and can be ordered via ochs und junior from now until January 6, 2024.
