Tyler, the Creator Joins Kendrick Lamar and Baby Keem To Debut "The Hillbillies" Live

The first day of Tyler, the Creator‘s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival was stacked with an all-star lineup – himself included – including Paris, Texas, Teezo Touchdown, Kevin Abstract, Ice Spice, Clipse, Kali Uchis, and, for the first time Kendrick Lamar and Baby Keem‘s joint venture, The Hillbillies. The headlining duo took the Camp Stage as the final performers of the night to deliver an impressive 24-song set, enlisting the festival’s Creator himself for the final song.

The Hillbillies’ set spanned a handful of each artist’s solo tracks, with collaborative “Family Ties” “Range Brothers” and “Vent” intermingled throughout. They closed out the impressive set with the Bon Iver-sampling cut “The Hillbillies” – hot off a 2024 Grammy nomination for Best Rap Performance from the day earlier. Tyler showed out on stage about halfway through the high-energy performance, a nod to his cameo in the track’s music video, in which he unofficially confirmed the Carnival’s 2023 return.
