Gundam Arrives on the F1 Grid in Scuderia AlphaTauri Partnership

Scuderia AlphaTauri and Bandai Namco Entertainment have announced plans to bring Gundam to the Formula 1 grid during the Las Vegas Grand Prix. The partnership includes a range of activities, experiences and collectibles.
Notably, Scuderia AlphaTauri’s drivers, Yuki Tsunoda and Daniel Ricciardo, will feature the iconic Gundam decals of the RX-78-2 Gundam and XVX-016 Gundam Aerial on the headrests of their AT04 cars.
Beyond sponsorship, the partnership provides fans the opportunity to experience a nearly ten-foot-tall Gundam statue gracing the team’s facilities and a special promotional video featuring Yuki Tsunoda dressed in a GUNDAM-inspired racing suit.
Additionally and probably the most exciting aspect of the collaboration, is a one-of-one Perfect-Grade Unleashed model of the Mobile Suit RX-78-2 GUNDAM, stylized with exclusive Scuderia AlphaTauri decals and colors, for display only.
However, while the one-of-one Perfect-Grade isn’t for sale, there will be two Gundam Base pop-up stores near the Las Vegas Strip Circuit area — allowing fans to take something home to commemorate the experience.
“GUNDAM is a globally recognized and beloved media franchise with passionate fans in every corner of the world. We immediately embraced the GUNDAM spirit and are delighted to welcome them as a partner of Scuderia AlphaTauri for the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix,” said Fabian Wrabetz, Director of Marketing and Communication at Scuderia AlphaTauri. “This will be a collaboration to remember with multiple on and off-track activations that will push the limits of fan engagement in a fun and exciting way.”
