Jim Legxacy Gives 'HNPM' Highlight "Block Hug" the Visual Treatment
Sampling 67’s iconic drill record, “Lets Lurk,” featuring Giggs.
Earlier this year, rising UK musician Jim Legxacy dropped his brand-new mixtape, HNPM, seeing the London-based star mix his alternative R&B and rap influence with an underlying pop sound to create one of the most essential listens of the year. Now, the artist has just presented the visual treatment to one of the project’s highlights, “Block Hug.”
Having originally dived into the music game in 2018 with a slew of online-only tracks, Legacy — who was homeless when he first started dropping music — has kept up an impressive line of consistency, releasing several hit records such as “Hit It Light It Twist It” and “Eye Tell (!),” all while garnering attention from some of the UK’s most respected rhymers, such as Stormzy, Dave, and Fred again…
Now, Legxacy’s latest record is a combination of quick-fire guitar chords, mixed with an aggressive sample from UK drill group 67’s hit record “Lets Lurk,” featuring fellow rap legend, Giggs. Additionally, the record gives us a glimpse into Legacy’s private life, as he tells past tales of trying to balance his love life and work on the streets.
You can check out the visuals for “Block Hug” above and in other music news, Kevin Abstract has announced his first solo album.
