Logic has dropped off an accompanying music video for his new track, “Highlife.”

The visual is helmed by actor and Clerks and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back director Kevin Smith, and sees Logic as the star as he and Smith assemble the Clerks cast at the original New Jersey Quick Stop set. The rapper has been a longtime fan of Smith and has previously voiced the filmmaker’s influence on his music. Logic also appeared in Smith’s Clerks III, which premiered in 2022.

“Highlife” is set to appear on Logic’s upcoming eight studio album College Park, which “represents his journey to date and simultaneously celebrates a new beginning.” The title pays homage to the Maryland town where the rapper spent a year sleeping on the couch of his friend Big Lenbo’s basement, and every morning was spent writing and recording his raps.

Elsewhere in music, Rihanna received seven new platinum RIAA certifications.
