Ervin Latimmier’s third seasonal collection nearly did not come to fruition. The designer suffered from exhaustion and burnout throughout his emerging career and struggled to craft a cohesive Fall/Winter 2023 range that felt complete.

Through trials and tribulations, Ervin Latimmier surpassed it all and made it to Copenhagen Fashion Week to present his new assortment of menswear garments, dubbed “Interlude.” The showcase was presented as an intimate gathering and saw the founder and creative director of Latimmier narrate every ensemble as it strolled down a bare wooden runway. The range was composed of 11 looks boasting elevated craftsmanship and recycled fabrics, seeing the brand find itself in a new light.

From poplin shirts with removable collars matched with unraveling skirts plunging to the ground, every garment was repurposed into something new and redefined the meaning of modern-day fashion. Cascading coats were hand stitched by Latimmier himself, while structured suiting was designed with double-layered recycled wool for a sculptural fit. Hefty knitwear was accented with dangling stitches and walked alongside the brand’s signature slouchy bottoms featuring unmasked pockets.

Elsewhere, pleats on dresses were kept shut, exploring the significance of maintaining textiles in their natural state. Latimmier’s Fall/Winter 2023 collection was complete with a handful of collaborations alongside local artists and leather goods artisans, who channeled their creative talent into new artworks and bags carried by models on the runway.
