While it may be hard to believe that an artist of John Mayer’s stature hasn’t toured solo yet, the singer will be heading on his first independent run this March.

The tour isn’t tied to any particular album but instead will hear Mayer play an assortment of tracks from throughout his discography, along with a few never-heard-before cuts.

“Just like the early days. I’ll be playing old songs. Newer songs. Songs you haven’t heard yet that I’ll be road testing – all on acoustic, electric, and piano. Hope to see you there…,” Mayer wrote on social media.

The tour’s debut show will be held at Newark, New Jersey’s Prudential Center on March 11, followed by a gig at Boston’s TD Garden on March 13.

Mayer will then hit New York on March 15, performing at Madison Square Garden. Later stops include Pittsburgh, Toronto, Detroit, Nashville, Cleveland, Atlanta, St. Louis and Chicago.

The 19-stop tour will wrap up at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum on April 14 just a month after commencing. The first set of stops will see Mayer accompanied by singer Lizzy McAlpine, after which he’ll be joined by a special guest that has yet to be announced. For the last portion of the run, Alec Benjamin will open.

Check out the entire list of John Mayer’s tour stops below. Tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, January 27.
