Raf Simons FW22 Campaign Is Unmistakably Intimate
Exploring the thematics of youth and distress.

When Raf Simons presented his Fall/Winter 2022, it was quite evident that the designer continues to elevate the ideals of high fashion in his own familiar style.
While the collection showcased familiar materials, it was presented in various new silhouettes, some more form-fitting than his other signature oversized looks. Gearing up for the colder season, Raf Simons’ campaign is ready for cuffing season, highlighting a series of images of models in evidently intimate poses. Bodies are intertwined, wearing some of FW22’s most sleek pieces, prepping for the cooler weather.
The campaign reunites Simons with his longtime collaborators Willy Vanderperre and Olivier Rizzo in a set of intimate imagery to highlight the upcoming FW22 collection. The campaign focuses on standalone pieces like the tall leather boots, jumpsuits made with patent leather to create a shiny, black latex aesthetic, fur hats, tunics and more. Not shown in the campaign are the vinyl leather coats that caught the attention of fans who prefer an elevated, yet still casual look for their outerwear. The campaign embraces the exaggerated headgear with its face-obscuring hats, continuing to push the balaclava mania forward. Look out for more of Simons’ signature pieces including knitwear featuring trompe l’oeil silhouettes and bomber jackets for the upcoming season.
