Know for being the more elevated category within the variety of Vans‘ sub-labels, Vault by Vans has captured the hearts of many over the course of the year for its cornucopia of striking collaborations. Throughout 2022, we’ve seen the imprint link with the likes of Brain Dead and CDG for new collections, and now it’s welcoming Palm Angels to join in on the action. The contemporary streetwear brand has prepared luxe takes of the Sk8-Hi VLT LX, Sk8- Mid VLT LX and the Old Skool LX, all of which nod to the freedom and individuality that’s found in skate culture.

Each installment in this collection comes prepared with similar design features such as the off-white canvas uppers, the translucent midsole pieces tinted in brown as well as the Palm Angels branding that laid out across the sides that reimagine the traditional jazz stripes. Palm Angels DNA is infused into the suede materials that make up the toe boxes as the Sk8-Hi is fashioned with red, the Sk8-Mid is styled in black and the Old Skools are crafted with an earthy gray.

“Palm Angels started with a photography book and Vans was already there. I took a picture of a guy skating in Venice beach, wearing the most vintage Vans Sk8-Hi I had ever seen and since then, the idea of Palm Angels collaborating with Vans has always been in my mind,” says Francesco Ragazzi, founder and Creative Director of Palm Angels. It’s now finally reality. With this collection, I wanted to recreate exactly that same image: few models with a vintage feeling and a contemporary take.”

The Palm Angels x Vault by Vans collection is launching on September 27 exclusively on Palm Angels and in selected Palm Angels stores worldwide.
