Bob’s Watches has just released a new auction themed on tropical dials. Taking a look at Rolex‘s sports range from the ’60s and ’70s, the lot is comprised of a 1966 Rolex ref. 1016 Explorer, 1969 ref. 1675 GMT-Master, 1972 ref.1665 “Double Red” Sea-Dweller, and 1972 ref. 1680 “Red” Submariner.

The commonality of each watch is that their dials have aged a nice golden brown, whereas the sports divers have slightly faded bezels. Paul Altieri, Founder & CEO of Bob’s Watches comments, “We are happy to offer these four, rare and beautiful watches with tropical dials.” “These are all fresh-to-market watches and each is one-of-a-kind because no two tropical dials age the same exact way,” says Director of Vintage, Brandon Frazin. “We are passionate about vintage watches and excited to share this collection with the world.”

The lot is expected to sell in a range of $20,000 – $80,000 USD. Those interested in bidding can head over to Bob’s Watches to view each of the watches.

In other watch news, an ultra rare factory-set Rolex Sky Dweller owned by Drake is for sale in London.
