First Look at the adidas YEEZY 450 "Stone Teal"

Just a few shades lighter than the “Dark Slate” and “Utility Black.”

The “3% Rule” — that something existing only has to be changed by 3% to be new — was popularized by the late, great Virgil Abloh, but his good friend Ye appears to have taken it to heart as well. At least when it comes to his YEEZY sneaker colorways, that is. The partnership between Ye and adidas has produced several same-but-ever-so-slightly-different sneaker styles since it kicked off back in 2015 and the latest example of that ethos is the new YEEZY 450 “Stone Teal.”

Confusing the “Stone Teal” with previously-released YEEZY 450 colorways like “Dark Slate” and “Utility Black” on first glance could definitely be excused, as seen in the picture of all three pairs below. However, the “Stone Teal” offers a stone-colored Primeknit upper that’s a few shades lighter than its masterfully murky counterparts, and close examination reveals an ever-so-slight teal tint on the heel as well. The signature spiky sole unit follows suit, and a sock-like collar rounds off the look.

At the time of writing, an exact release date for the adidas YEEZY 450 “Stone Teal” has yet to be revealed. However, it’s likely to touch down this October. When it does it’ll be priced at $210 USD.
