Pro-Ject Teams Up With Metallica for Special-Edition Turntable
A fun piece for the discerning audiophile.
Pro-Ject, a turntable specialist who once worked with Universal Music Group for special turntables celebrating the 50th anniversary of The Beatles‘ The White Album, now collaborates with heavy metal band Metallica on a limited-edition offering. Dubbed the “Pro-Ject Ninja Star Turntable,” the vinyl player accommodates those looking for a statement piece for the living room as well as true audiophiles.
The design is defined by a mirror-finished metal logo contour, see-through glass platter, and height-adjustable aluminum feet. Electronic speed control allows for easy shifts between 33/45 and 78 RPM and the Pick it S2 C cartridge ensures precise and thrilling sound. Finally, the tracking force and anti-skating are both adjustable to complete the 4.5 kg (10 lb) package.
The Metallica x Pro-Ject turntable is now available for pre-order on the Metallica and Pro-Ject websites for $1,600 USD. Deliveries are expected to ship out in November.
