Merrell 1TRL Debuts the "Hydro Runner"
A breathable hybrid between clog and sneaker.
Following the first look at Reese Cooper’s take on its signature Hydro Moc, Merrell‘s 1TRL division now unveils a new “Hydro Runner” silhouette geared towards all-rounded movement. The upcoming pairs maintain the brand’s signature EVA uppers, featuring oval-shaped perforations and a heel strap.
Providing additional structure and protection against the elements is an underlying breathable mesh sock and nylon pull tabs on the tongue and heel. A 100 percent recycled EVA midsole and sticky traction outsoles round out the design. The end result is a shoe optimized for warm weather comfort, combining the breathability of a clog and the responsiveness of a sneaker.
The Merrell 1TRL Hydro Runners are now available white and black camo colorways on the Merrell Australia website for $1450 AUD (approximately $100 USD).
Elsewhere in footwear, Ant Kai crafts a custom sacai x Nike LDWaffle “Boro.”
