Fresh off the heels of renewing his contract for the Serie A football club A.C. Milan, Swedish footballer Zlatan Ibrahimović has teamed up with Dsquared2 on an exclusive capsule collection, dropping September 13. Developed out of a friendship between the D2 designers and Ibrahimović, this collection marks the second drop for Fall/Winter 2022.

The collection features a mix of contemporary and eveningwear staples and offers the aesthetic of an all-black wardrobe – to emphasize consumer individuality. Included in the dark tonal lineup is an athletic range of products such as technical-fabric joggers, sporty beachwear, T-shirts and baseball caps. On the formal side, the collection offers long wool coats, zip-front blazers, leather-sleeved detailing on jackets, sleek biker pants and merino knits. Additionally, the Milan striker’s nickname “Ibra” appears as a font logo printed on select items.

Aptly titled “Black on Black,” the collection’s designers – Dean and Dan Caten – discussed the inspiration behind naming the collection, sharing: “This capsule collection is titled Black on Black to embody the individual style and personality of the world-renowned Zlatan Ibrahimović. The lineup is entirely in black, from eveningwear to day pieces, sportswear, denim and accessories.”

Dropping on September 13, the new Dsquared2 x Zlatan Ibrahimović capsule collection will be available to purchase on the brand’s website and at all D2 stores.

In case you missed it, the 2022 VMA’s red carpet was dominated by green, black and white color palettes.
