Following an early look at collaborative takes with COMME des GARÇONS, Nike‘s classic Terminator High silhouette has now been revealed in its original collegiate “Georgetown” colorway. The Nike Terminator High was first released in 1985 as one of the original “Be True” sneakers and was last seen in suede back in 2014.

While powerhouse college basketball programs including Kentucky, Michigan, UNLV, St. John’s, Syracuse, Villanova, and Iowa all received signature team Dunks ahead of the 1985 season, Georgetown University, which came off a National Championship, received special treatment with an exclusive pair of Nike Terminator Highs dressed in the school’s colors of gray/navy with the “Hoyas” moniker inscribed across the heel. Georgetown would later lose to Villanova in the 1985 NCAA Tournament finals, but the high-top sneakers have remained a rare icon nonetheless. The upcoming re-release is found in the same soft leather uppers and “Nike” heel banners as the original drop with angular contrast-stitching across the sides.

Look for the Nike Terminator High “Georgetown” to arrive at Nike’s website and select retailers later this year. One of the original Nike Terminator (1985) pairs was recently sold at Sotheby’s for just under $2000 USD.
