Night Gallery Will Host a Major Fundraising Event in Aid of Reproductive Rights
Featuring guest performances by Purity Ring and auctioned artwork by The Hundreds, Seth Rogen and more.
A number of artists and entertainers have come in support of reproductive rights through a new fundraising initiative titled Sexy Beast. The event will take place from 5-8pm PT this Saturday, July 30 at Night Gallery in Los Angeles and is hosted by comedian and writer Christina Catherine Martinez.
The host committee behind the event includes a range of prominent artists and gallerists, including Barbara Kruger, Jeffrey Deitch, Andrea Bowers, Catherine Opie, Derek Fordjour, Melanie Schiff, Sterling Ruby, David Kordansky, Arthur Lewis, and Johanna Burton, among others.
Highlights of the silent auction include a monumental painting by Andrea Marie Breiling, limited-edition t-shirts by The Hundreds, along with a ceramic vase by Seth Rogen.
Sexy Beast will also feature guest performances by Purity Ring, comedy sets by Carmen Christopher, Girl God, and Sandy Honig, as well as keynote speakers from Planned Parenthood Los Angeles. Individual tickets cost $200 USD with 100% proceeds benefitting PPLA.
