Adidas' Adilette 22 Arrives In a Familiar "Carbon/Aluminum" Colorway
Coming just in time for the warm weather.

There’s been some controversy surrounding the adidas Adilette 22, as Kanye West labelled the pair as “a fake YEEZY made by adidas themselves.” But Kanye’s adidas footwear isn’t readily available to the masses, and this coupled with adidas’ nurtured expertise in more experimental designs might explain why the Adilette 22 is so daring with its new aesthetic. Plenty of colorways are expected to come over the next few months, and now a “Carbon/Aluminum” offering is expected to arrive for the summer months.
There’s no denying this melange palette is reminiscent of the YEEZY FOAM RNNR “MXT Moon Grey”‘s trippy and drippy paint finish, as the Adilette 22 features a recycled body that’s been given a treatment inspired by 3D topography and martian expeditions. As such, a spacey mixture of “Carbon” and “Aluminium” hues combine and clash over the ergonomic pair, working everything from the strap to the pre-formed footbed that’s specifically designed to be as comfortable as possible.
The monochromatic marble finish disguises some of the more intriguing features of the new Adilette, specifically the Earth-like structures that protrude and dive across the upper. Lastly, “THE BRAND WITH THE THREE STRIPES” and a tiny Trefoil logo work the sole unit on the lateral side, completing the pair.
Take a look at the adidas Adilette 22 in “Carbon/Aluminum” above, and pick up a pair from retailers such as Asphalt Gold on July 25 for $60 USD.
In other news, the adidas YEEZY SLIDE is arriving in “Onyx,” “Bone” and “Glow Green” next week.
