Volkswagen has now unveiled its first fully-electric sedan, giving automotive enthusiasts a preview of what’s to come. Named the “ID. AERO,” the new concept model will be making its way stateside as well as to the European and Chinese markets in the beginning of 2023.

While the automaker hasn’t unveiled exactly how much power output the car will have, it did say that it’ll utilize the MEB Platform shared by other ID family models and carry a 77 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that can provide roughly 620 km or 385 miles of range.

Aesthetically, the sedan takes on a similar design language as its siblings, which currently include the ID. 3, ID. 4, ID. 5 GTX and ID. 6 in China. A Polar Light Blue Metallic exterior is paired with a glossy black roof, while full-length LED bars occupy both the front and rear ends of the model. Down low, you’ll find 22-inch two-tone wheels that further increase mileage while its aerodynamic elements reduce air resistance to just a 0.23 drag coefficient.

Unfortunately, there’s currently no pricing information just yet for the ID. AERO, so those interested should stay tuned for more updates to come from Volkswagen.

Elsewhere in the automotive world, BMW M says it’ll be keeping manual gearboxes alive for as long as possible.
