Following the release of collaborative FRAKTA bags built to hold 100 vinyl records, IKEA has now revealed the first items from its upcoming 20-piece joint collection with house music supergroup Swedish House Mafia. Titled “OBEGRÄNSAD,” Swedish for “unlimited,” the collection aims to democratize music production at home and enable “those with limited budget, but unlimited creativity” to fully unleash their passions.

First revealed as part of IKEA Festival during 2022 Milan Design Week are the OBEGRÄNSAD record player, lounge chair, and desk for the home studio.

Dressed completely in SHM’s signature hues of jet black, the desk features two speaker stands that bring speakers to ear level and a pull-out shelf that makes room for additions to the setup such as a midi keyboard. Arriving as a comfortable place to unwind and reflect, the semi-reclined armchairs arrive with adjustable straps that allow for finetuning. Rounding out the assortment is the collaborative record player with an RCA port for audio out that can be paired with IKEA ENEBY speakers, an amplifier, or other active speakers.

The SHM x IKEA collection is set to arrive at IKEA shops this fall. In the meantime, the dance music trio is set to begin its U.S. tour starting July 29 at the FTX Arena in Miami, Florida. Stay tuned for additional updates.
