MSCHF Readies AF1-Inspired Super Normal Sneakers
Shortly after receiving a restraining order for its Wavy Baby silhouette.
After being dealt a lawsuit by Nike over the collaborative Lil Nas X Air Max 97 lookalikes and receiving a temporary restraining from a U.S. District judge ordering the brand to stop distributing and advertising Tyga’s Wavy Baby sneakers, MSCHF is back with an Air Force 1-inspired Super Normal sneaker. Similar to the Vans Old Skool-inspired Wavy Baby sneakers, the Super Normal footwear is found in winding fluid lines as if stuck in a microwave.
The asymmetric design is found across white leather uppers with MSCHF branding on the tongue tab and “!!!” embroidery on the heel. Sole units below feature a similar structure to the AF1 aside from the MSCHF branding and rippled bottoms.
Nike is known to be highly protective of its signature footwear silhouettes and having taken legal action against MSCHF prior to this release, is likely to take notice of MSCHF’s new mischievous introduction.
Look for the MSCHF Super Normal sneakers to arrive on June 23 for $145 USD exclusively on the MSCHF Sneakers App.
