Heritage label J. Press has celebrated its 120th anniversary with the launch of a new flagship store in New Haven, Connecticut. The new location marks the label’s storied history of producing Ivy League pieces, and adjoins the brand’s previous store, creating a link back to its history.

References to this heritage can be seen throughout the design of the store, with a blue awning outside and vintage furniture from the original store alongside Ivy-themed bric-a-brac internally. This setting will play host to J Press’ signature items, including India Madras, Oxford button down shirts and Shaggy Dog Shetland sweaters along with sportswear-influenced pieces and a space for tailoring and made-to-measure on the second floor.

Jun Murakami, the CEO and President of J. Press, said:

“Today is an important day for J. Press with our return to a permanent home right around the corner from where it all started. We are thrilled to continue to offer classic Ivy-inspired American clothing to the world from our traditional home of New Haven.”

The J. Press flagship in New Haven is open now.

In other fashion news, Adsum has recently launched its High Summer 2022 collection.
