G-SHOCK Revives Caseback Characters For Camouflage DW-5600GU-7
Celebrating forgotten G-SHOCK heroes such as Lungman and Gaussman.
G-SHOCK has revived 18 characters that once adorned its watches, using their monochrome silhouettes to form a unique camouflage pattern.
The camouflage – made up of characters such as Mudman and Frogman that were once engraved on the casebacks of G-SHOCK watches – adorns the black and white case and strap of a new DW-5600 reference.
The pattern extends onto the dial, forming the border of the reverse LCD display. As with other references of the same model, the DW-5600GU-7 is shock resistant, water resistant to 200m and features 1/100th-second stopwatch, countdown times, multi-function alarm, visual flash alert and back light.
The watch is also presented in a custom G-SHOCK tin, which carries the same camouflage.
