G-SHOCK Unveils a Duo of DW-5600 Watches Featuring Hokusai’s Iconic Prints
From the ‘The Great Wave off Kanagawa’ to ‘Fine Wind, Clear Morning.’
G-SHOCK has unveiled a pair of DW-5600 timepieces where the dials are incorporated with Katsushika Hokusai’s notable ukiyo-e prints. Both pieces spotlight iconic masterpieces from Hokusai’s renowned Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji series, with one variant sporting The Great Wave off Kanagawa, while the other features the Fine Wind, Clear Morning on its dial.
The LED backlight showcases the character “Japan” in kanji, while the caseback reiterates the wordmark in an engraved form — reinforcing the watch’s connection to its place of origin.
Additionally, the watch is made in Japan, emphasizing the focus on production quality and craftsmanship. Each model comes in a specially designed packaging that echoes the art work on its respective watch dial.
