Emotional Oranges has had plenty to celebrate lately. For one, the R&B duo has impressed their fans with captivating festival performances at Coachella and in more recent memory at Pharrell‘s Something in the Water. And secondly, they’re now officially completely independent. So to kick off what they’re dubbing “EO SZN 3,” the group has now returned with their latest Summer-ready track titled “Make Me Wanna.”

Emotional Oranges first teased the new smooth tune during the height of the pandemic and got received an overwhelming response to it, but they wanted to keep it shelved until they felt it was the right time to release it. Production on the track can be credited to A, the male member of EO, as well as Dante Jones from THEY. “We were listening to a lot of early Missy & Timbaland & wanted to make something with a similar bounce”, A says about the new release. “With so many “options” in today’s world, the song is about grappling with temptation but ultimately staying true to yourself.”
