DHL Collaborations Return to the Mix Thanks to Varsity Headwear's Latest Sustainable Cap
Made using discarded plastic from the land and sea.
Norwegian cap specialist Varsity Headwear is a pioneer in the sustainable hat business, and now it has worked with DHL international on a limited-edition run of caps. Each of the 200 caps produced is made from Seaqual yarn, a material made from discarded plastic from both land and sea, which also looks at reducing harm from production, packaging, and transportation.
In addition to the use of Seaqual, Varsity Headwear makes its brims from 100% recycled plastic — coming together for a soft, malleable product that can be easily packed into smaller boxes, thus reducing transportation and packaging harms. To enhance the sustainable effort, the brand also packs the hats in bespoke boxes that can be used for a multitude of different things.
As for the cap itself, you’ll find a black six-panel design adorned with an adjustable webbing strap at the rear. This bears DHL’s signature yellow and red colorway, as does the enamel plaque on the right rear corner of the hat. This can be replaced with a “VS” logo badge, while rounding out the hat is the dual-branded tag on the interior of the cap that details more about the collaboration. Lastly, the cap is CO2 neutral due to a combination of off-setting and in-setting through DHL.
Varsity Headwear’s collaborative cap with DHL retails for $95 USD and can be bought online now. Take a closer look at the piece above.
