Palace Taps Jimmy'z for Surf-Meets-Skate Collaboration
Complete with a Jerry Hsu-shot campaign.
After launching its latest adidas collection earlier this month, London’s Palace has now debuted a collaboration with Los Angeles-based Jimmy’z. The cult label, founded in 1984, was borne out of a new design for surf shorts that could be adjusted using a Velcro side closure. Since then, Jimmy’z has gained popularity with surfers, musicians, artists, actors and skaters.
The collection builds upon this heritage, and includes a new take on the classic velcro closure shorts. Elsewhere, items include short sleeve shirts — complete with an all-over eye print — as well as a cotton bomber jacket and three T-shirt styles. The capsule arrives in a color palette of summer-ready tones including mint, white and pastel pink.
Take a look at the collection in the Jerry Hsu-shot images above. The collaboration launches on June 3 via the Palace web store and locations in London, New York and L.A. It also releases in Japan and via WeChat on June 4.
In other fashion news, Napapijri recently launched a collaboration with Italian designer Moreno Ferrari.
