NEIGHBORHOOD and Osamu Nagahama Connect For Third Photography-Centered Capsule
Featuring American street and landscape snaps taken between the ’70s and ’90s.
After revealing a coffee-focused capsule with Kalita, NEIGHBORHOOD now returns with a third collaboration with photographer Osamu Nagahama featuring American street snaps and landscape shots taken from the late ’70s to the ’90s. The upcoming Spring/Summer 2022 collection delivers an assortment of graphic T-shirts with the featured photography selected by NEIGHBORHOOD founder Shinsuke Takizawa.
Arriving in white and stone grey washes, the tees depict scenes from a long list of cities including Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, Mississippi, Missouri, and Louisianna. The images look to be taken from a black-and-white film camera and depict period-specific scenes of buildings, cars, billboards, and Dinosaur World. Alongside the shots are short handwritten inscriptions from Takizawa describing the time and place. Rounding out the assemblage are graphic hand towels and bath towels made in collaboration with NOMADIX.
The Osamu Nagahama x NEIGHBORHOOD collaboration will be available from May 28 at NEIGHBORHOOD’s online store, physical stores in Japan, and select dealers.
