atmos Readies Rodent-Themed New Balance "M2002RAT"
Arriving in a mix of printed leather, hairy suede and iridiscent accents.
Following a collaboration with adidas, serving up a vivid pair of ZX 8000s, Japanese streetwear and sneaker boutique atmos now connects with New Balance for a pair of distinct 2002R sneakers dressed in rodent motifs. The upcoming New Balance “2002RAT” arrives in a breathable mesh base with a mix of gray hairy suede overlays and metallic teal leather panels.
Defining exterior elements include rodent-print leather pieces resting below the textured “N” logo patches, and iridescent blue accents on the upper eyelets and heels. Pill-shaped “new balance running” logos decorate the padded tongue and rat silhouettes are displayed on the light purple insoles. Rounding out the design are white N-ERGY midsoles and blue tonal outsoles.
The atmos x New Balance “M2002RAT” is set to release on May 28 exclusively in Korea and Japan on the atmos and New Balance websites and stores for ¥19,800 JPY (approximately $155 USD).
