Pharrell and adidas Announce Their Second Hu NMD S1 RYAT Instalment

Fresh off the back of their recent collaboration for the Pharrell x adidas Hu NMD S1 RYAT “Black” sneaker, the creative polymath and sportswear giant have reconnected to supply their second edition of the silhouette. With the previous “Black” colorway being a stylish rendition of the classic hiking boot, this new “White” edition draws from the same inspirations, but this time, the boot has the summer season in mind.

During the earliest stages of production, the Pharrell Williams and adidas NMD S1 RYAT was created for wearers to adjust to new ways of living, while also reflecting on the complexities of common day-to-day realities. However, this new edition of the style has been made from durable materials, in which every element and detail serves a purpose. The predominately white colorway has been introduced to imagine the idea of future utopias, offered through a combination of urban exploration and a love for the outdoors.

With the shoe’s upper being constructed from a mix of premium suede and leather overlays, a TPU mudguard and toe cap has been added to create a fresh sense of utility. The newly-released design has also been completed with a BOOST midsole, offering a cloud-like underfoot cushion effect, while the outsole features a Trefoil-shaped grip to prove that opposites really do attract.

These will be available this Saturday, April 23, and will be offered on adidas.com and select retailers.
