Adsum Wants You to Sit Back and Relax This Summer

Think lightweight shirts and breathable layers.

New York-based imprint Adsum has honed in on the idea of rest and leisure during the high summer for its latest seasonal collection.

Fresh off the back of its recent collaboration with footwear label Merrell, Adsum delivers a vibrant Summer 2022 lookbook, to showcase a collection in which the designs, color choices and creative direction are inspired by the thought of rest and leisure.

Typical of a summer wardrobe, shirts play a major role. The Breezer Shirt, a relaxed fit, woven cut-and-sewn short sleeve button down, makes its debut equipped with an asymmetrical and oversized chest pocket to fit passports and folded sunglasses, alongside lightweight checkered styles.

The Penumbra Jacket arrives as this season’s standalone outerwear option, and is crafted with a breathable 100% cotton ripstop. Ideal for hikes and other strenuous activities, this hooded lightweight windbreaker — which is a similar design to last season’s Caliper Jacket — is doused in shades of both green and blue, and comes in a slightly cropped profile.

The Camp Hero Vest makes a return for Summer 2022 without a fleece liner but with an adjusted body length. Re-designed to allow it to perform as an active layering garment, the vest comes in custom “Liquid Print” styles and is made with a four-way stretch, water-repellent, nylon-spandex blend fabric.

Down below, Adsum has also introduced two new short styles in the Shade Short and Otter Swim Trunk. The former is constructed with a heavyweight peached duck canvas and is ideal for Sunday yard work, while the latter — the brand’s first true bathing suit — is a 6.5” inseam style, with perforated mesh on the inside.

Take a look through Adsum’s Summer 2022 collection in full in the slideshow above, and shop the collection from the brand’s webstore now.
