KRAKATAU SS22 Channels the Spirit of Cities

For the Spring/Summer 2022 season, KRAKATAU furthers its “antagonist survival kit” ethos with a new city-inspired collection. Titled “City Portals,” the new offering explores the theme of creation that occurs in metropolitan environments.

Dipped in shades of slate gray, black, shadow blue, silver and neon green, the collection’s color palette reflects the fluid energy that permeates city spaces. The collection is comprised of a range of lightweight vests and jackets with environmentally equitable and breathable insulation made from three-dimensional helical structures. Alongside these pieces, the collection features heavier storm jackets and waterproof raincoats with magnetic closures, smart pockets and an interior strapping system.

Besides outerwear garments, the collection also includes a range of jumpsuits and technical pants that are geared to blend with any urban setting. Rounding out the collection are backpacks with RFID-blocking pockets to prevent personal information theft from credit cards, travel cards and more.
