All about quiet confidence, the new collection reimagines signature shapes through timeless fabrics and streamlined dress notes. Since its 2013 inception, Fear of God has crafted a name for itself that parallels no-frill dressing via sophisticated styling, eye-catching construction and a heightened focus on quality. The new offering furthers this design ethos by elevating the possibility of contemporary tailoring.
“When we started the collection, the intention was to chase perpetuity, timelessness, sophistication and elegance. As the collection developed, more and more it just felt eternal,” said Fear of God founder/creative director Jerry Lorenzo. “The collection didn’t feel like a number or a season, it felt like something that could live forever, so everything that was considered in this offering was designed with those guardrails.”
Featuring relaxed construction to provide elegant comfort, the new collection includes relaxed full trousers, expanded workwear, sculptural sweatsuits, supple jackets, knitwear and more. A standout of the collection are tailored pieces like the updated California Blazer with notch lapels and hidden pockets, in addition to blazers with wrap belt detailing. By fusing subtle, yet streamlined design details with ’80s sport and casual inspiration, the collection presents a timeless collection by incorporating past, present and future.
Washed in calm shades of taupe, beige and black, the collection comes to life through several fabrics like cashmere, cotton, calfskin napa leather and Japanese denim. Rounding out the collection is the brand’s Western Cowboy Boot with a Chelsea-style upper.
