Here's What the Air Jordan 13 "Barons" Could've Looked Like
The alternate sample surfaces with full holographic panels.

Released back in October 2014, the original “Barons” edition of the Air Jordan 13 was shaped up in honor of Michael Jordan’s time spent playing for the minor league baseball team, Birmingham Barons following his initial retirement from the NBA. Sneaker boutique, English Sole, has taken a stroll down memory lane and graced us with a peek at an alternate sample of what the pair could’ve rolled out as.
While Jordan’s baseball career was short-lived, his namesake brand is known to pay homage to all of G.O.A.T.’s efforts throughout his life. As the final AJ13 “Barons” took on a clean outfit predominantly in white with touches of gray and black with an iridescent strip right above the midsole, this alternate sample flips the switch and gives the lateral panels a full holographic makeover. The Jordan Brand seems to have an affinity for playing around with holographic accents as they gave the player exclusive Air Jordan 5 “NFL Helmet” a similar touch. The toe is capped in white tumbled leather as the rest of the shoe is covered in velvet black and a green jade sphere appears on the ankle collar. Turquoise details over the tongue along with a black midsole and white outsole remain the same.
