Kehlani and Justin Bieber have joined forces on a new track “Up At Night.”

“It’s about having a healthily obsessed relationship,” Kehlani said of the song in a statement. “You’re telling someone, ‘I love you so much it keeps me awake at night’. I love what Justin did, and it’s such a fun one to dance to.”

The single, which will appear on Kehlani’s upcoming album, Blue Water Road, arrives ahead of the record’s scheduled debut on April 29. Kehlani has previously released two songs off the project: “Altar,” which arrived last fall, and “Little Story,” which was released last month.

The forthcoming record will follow Kehlani’s 2020 effort It Was Good Until It Wasn’t, which was named one of HYPEBEAST’s Best Albums of 2020. That album included 15 tracks and enlisted features from Jhené Aiko, Masego, Lucky Daye and James Blake.

In a statement, Kehlani said that Blue Water Road is a “destination” in her mind. “I’m giving everyone access. It’s an emotional journey, a sexual journey, and a spiritual journey,” she added. “To me, the album is like a glass house. It’s light, transparent, and the sun is shining right through it.”
