DTLR Announces a New Balance 2002R "Masquerade" Collaboration
The retailer adds bursts of vivid accents to the lifestyle model.
Lifestyle footwear and apparel retailer DTLR has a penchant for cooking up meaningful collaborations that not only bear adventurous colorways but own impactful stories. And this month, it will be expanding its collaborative catalog with the folks at New Balance with the arrival of its 2002R “Masquerade” team-up.
Both parties have joined hands here to commemorate the duality of the lifestyle silhouette and pay homage to the ordinary vs. the extraordinary. Thee color schemes here are contrasting and split between a more formal aesthetic in the forefoot and a more adventurous motif in the rear. Festive hues of blue, orange, pink and purple accents outfit the back, all of which are reminiscent of colorful masks often seen during this time of year ahead of the Mardi Gras celebrations. Double stitched N logos are integrated here instead of the traditional reflective N logos and the shoe laces from the 992s are transferred onto this release. Down below, the midsoles are fashioned with white backdrops and come mated with red exposed foam cushioning and a multi-toned outsole.
You can expect the DTLR x New Balance 2002R “Masquerade” to release on February 11 for $155 USD via DTLR.
In other news, New Balance Tokyo Design Studio has dropped a functionally comfortable SS22 capsule.
