Developers CD Projekt Red has announced the release of the open-world game Cyberpunk 2077 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S as part of its next-gen patch 1.5 update. As promised previously, PS4 and Xbox One players will get the updated version for free.

While Cyberpunk 2077‘s debut was nothing short of disastrous for console, running so poorly that Sony and Microsoft both offered refunds to players, CD Projekt Red has since then made a large number of bug fixes and the next patch promises a new beginning. The game is expected to run smoothly at 4K at 60 frames per second on performance mode for PS5 and Xbox X players.

PS5 and Xbox series X/S players can expect a number of visual and technical upgrades as well as in-game add-ons and improvements implemented across all platforms. A new perk system, smarter virtual enemies, more responsive crowds, a better driving experience, new character modification options, and more customizable home bases, are just a few of the new additions promised in patch 1.5.

Cyberpunk 2077 is now available for 50 percent off on the Playstation Store, Xbox Store, and GoG. Newcomers to the game can activate a free 5-hour trial in which the progress carries once the full game is purchased.
