Following the release of the Mini 3 Pro drone, DJI now reveals a new entry-level offering for the consumer market. Stripping away excess functions such as forward and rear obstacle detection and ActiveTrack, the leading drone company offers a product perfect for first-time users looking to capture their holidays and outings.

As a step up from the DJI Mini 2, the Mini 3 offers a comprehensively improved imaging system and battery life with a new gimbal design that allows for True Vertical shots and more shooting angles. While arriving in the same foldable, compact casing, the drone carries larger propellors which provide a longer flight time of up to 51 minutes. Due to its size, the DJI Mini 3 is also able to fly in most regions without registration.

In terms of the camera itself, the Mini 3 is equipped with a 1/1.3-inch sensor and dual native ISO for true-to-life colors in both day and night. While filming in 4K HDR video, the drone can transmit up to 10km with up to 51 minutes of extended flight time. QuickShots allows for automatic captures of objects and surroundings without the need to pilot the drone and other built-in capabilities include Auto Takeoff and Return to Home functions.

The DJI Mini 3 is now available via DJI with prices starting at $469 USD.
