You Can Now Shop Raf Simons' FW22 Runway Collection
The Broken Arm’s buying team outdoes itself with a selection of future Raf grails, mohair must-haves and cozy essentials.
Raf Simons‘ Fall/Winter 2022 runway collection — and the ready-to-wear that came alongside it — has been in-stores for around two months now, but close followers of the brand will know that plenty of pieces were yet to arrive online or in bulk at most physical locations. Now, French retailer The Broken Arm welcomes Simons’ FW22 range into the mix, delivering some of the best pieces from this particularly dark and sensual runway show.
While his runway-worn boots have been and gone, notable Alpaca and virgin wool-mix looks have finally arrived for Simons’ fans to get their hands on. Leading the pack is the classic double-breasted coat, coming in a timelessly oversized cut that gives the fluff of the Alpaca wool even more impact, accentuated by its teal-tinted navy hue. Likewise, the “Dark Aubergine” blazer makes for another winter-ready statement, especially when styled alongside the various mohair balaclavas that are now on offer, too.
Elsewhere, we find rather tame offerings from the designer like a reversible fisherman sweater that reveals a thick metallic thread chenille on the flipside, a jersey track jacket for more sporty occasions, and an elongated bomber coat for something extra. Layering and essentials come courtesy of graphic T-shirts that play on Simons’ signature ability to create subcultural references, this time around pulling on themes you’d expect to see on album covers of alternative rock bands, while a staple collection of denim workwear now appears in green and orange-brown hues.
