Raheem Sterling Unveils Hotly-Anticipated New Balance x Stone Island Boot and Kit Collaboration
Sterling is set to debut the new Furon V7 football boot IRL during his upcoming World Cup games with England.
New Balance and Stone Island have officially presented their highly-anticipated football jersey and boot collaboration, and it’s more than we could have ever hoped for.
The jersey was first debuted — and teased — by U.K. rap star, Dave at his annual Santan Cup tournament back in October, however, the Streatham-raised rhymer was only spotted in the coordinated shorts and jersey. However, the official campaign has just been launched — and New Balance and Stone Island have enlisted Chelsea and England forward, Raheem Sterling to be the face of it.
Using Sterling to unveil the collection makes sense; the baller is one of football’s brightest stars and his 10 major silverware honors in England make him one of the most decorated English players of the current era. But football aside, Raz’s relationship with fashion is there for all to see, too. The winger has recently collaborated with Clarks on a selection of footwear collections, designed his Jamaica-inspired football boots with New Balance, and also became an official ambassador and face of the New Balance Football brand back in 2021.
For the full New Balance x Stone Island collection, the main attraction is the new Furon V7 boot — which Sterling will be debuting on the pitch himself — and is the latest evolution of NB’s most popular football boot. It features a new custom camouflage pattern that pays homage to Stone Island’s famous textile archives, while also featuring the customary NB logo alongside Stone Island’s iconic compass emblem. Furthermore, the boot is crafted with a Hypoknit upper with a mesh lining and offset lacing for added striking support.
Along with the boots, the collection also includes a full kit — crafted from 100% polyester — which includes an original Stone Island camouflage pattern along with corresponding shorts, complete with the Compass logo silicone badge. Rounding off the kit, the black socks supply a clean and harmonious look and tie in the abundance of camo which is seen throughout the rest of the kit.
You can take a closer look at the full New Balance x Stone Island collaboration above and the collection is available on pre-sale via the official Stone Island website on November 21 and will be available on general release on the official New Balance website and select stores from November 25.
