Celebrating Pirelli’s 150th anniversary, the watch case is made from pure white Mineral Composite Fibre (MCF) and arrives in a striking white tone. The timepiece operates with a circular-grained main plate and bridges with Rhodium plating, and the dial resides on a white lower flange with transferred texts and minute tracks. There, white-gold hour and minute hands display the time.
Nodding to Pirelli’s pioneering efforts in the auto domain, the new Monotourbillon features a power reserve indicator, mimicking the nature of a car’s fuel gauge, at 9 o’clock. A signature for Dubuis, the skeleton flying tourbillon calibre makes one rotation in 60 seconds.
Outside, the watch is secured to its wearer with white rubber straps featuring rubber inlays with fused SLN on a 150th-anniversary logo. The strap is interchangeable with a Quick Release System and buckles with a titanium cover.
A collector’s item, the Excalibur Spider Pirelli Monotourbillon (MT) 45mm is limited to eight pieces only. Take a look at the watch in the gallery above.
Elsewhere in timekeeping, Richard Mille introduced a cheerful RM 88 Automatic Tourbillon Smiley watch.
