The Nike Air Max 97 Receives the "Teddy Bear" Treatment
Featuring leather hang tags and illustrative insoles.

Nike is slated to release a teddy bear-themed collection later this year, following official images of a Dunk Low adorned by cozy brown tones. A “Pink Teddy Bear” rendition has also recently surfaced, which takes design cues from the furry “Three Bears” pack released in 2006.
Now, the Swoosh imprint has unveiled the same “Teddy Bear” treatment for the Air Max 97. The stuffed toy-inspired makeup hits the silhouette with suede and felt materials dominating the upper. The former wraps around the lower section in a wavy manner, followed by contrasting leather accents. The sneaker’s linear design is maintained throughout, featuring various shaded of brown that alternate from panel to panel.
Deep brown twill enhances the medial windows with Swoosh logos embroidered in a vibrant blue tone, while leather Nike tags hang from the rears boasting thematic exposed stitching. Textured tongues receive a split-colored design, circular leather tags, and lace detailing. Additionally, graphic insoles boast a rugged plush bear illustration, mirroring its light brown and blue accents onto the speckled laces. White midsoles with full-length Air units and two-toned bottoms complete the design.
Take an official look at the Nike Air Max 97 “Teddy Bear” in the gallery above, and expect them to hit retailers later this year for $185 USD.
