Explore Slippery Trails With Ease in Merrell’s New Hydro Runner

Synonymous footwear label Merrell is best known for its unorthodox approach to stylish hiking. Back in August, the brand presented its latest addition to its 1TRL division and it was a silhouette that was geared towards all-rounded movement, designed to make outdoor excursions fun, smooth, and slip-free. Now, Merrell is once again steering itself even more into the abyss with another unique design entitled the Hydro Runner and it’s designed to take on wet and windy trails throughout the winter season.

Coming in “Black/White” and “White/Black” colorways, this new shoe is the latest member to fall under the 1TRL umbrella and it’s a look that combines the uncompromising design of the brand’s classic Hydro Moc with Merrell’s trail running technology, merging lightweight fabrications with a water-resistant outer. The Hydro Runner features an EVA shell, as well as a breathable mesh upper that gives extra leeway for agile and sudden movements on unpredictable grounds. Merrell has also integrated a lightweight high rebound EVA foam midsole for added comfort and the design is rounded off with a sticky rubber outsole that sits atop a durable and grippy sole.

For the shoe’s construction, the Hydro Runner is made with 100% recycled webbing and mesh that’s wrapped across the insole while the EVA foam sole is crafted from 50% recycled materials.
