UNNA Celebrates Joy in Movement With Debut Activewear Collection

All produced from recycled, organic and sustainable materials.

Swedish label UNNA has unveiled its first ever collection, mixing athletic and fashion references to craft a range of sustainably-produced activewear. The brand’s ethos — which is reflected in its name, a Swedish phrase meaning “treat yourself” — is to encourage people to live a more active life and find joy in movement.

The debut collection features lightweight running jackets, graphic T-shirts, shorts and accessories such as caps, scarves and running socks. The collection’s sustainable focus comes from its materials — all of which are recycled, organic or of a similar certification — and through a pre-order system that will launch later this year.

Launching the collection, UNNA founder John-Ruben Holtback said:

“I think the focus on performance is too high. You shouldn’t have to run a marathon or do a hundred burpees to feel good about yourself. Doing your very first 2km run or starting to take the bike to work are amazing achievements, and you should be able to enjoy them – one step at a time. For us, it’s not about finishing in the first place, but in a Good Place.

With UNNA I want to bring that creative and cultural influence that is missing in activewear today. Today, there’s a very limited offer for those of us who want to express ourselves through activewear UNNA is a curated wardrobe with the function of sportswear, yet with more fashionable silhouettes, detailing, colors, and prints.”
