Mark Ruffalo and Hugh Laurie have now joined the upcoming Netflix adaptation of All the Light We Cannot See.

Based on Anthony Doerr’s Pulitzer Prize-winning bestseller of the same name, the limited series will be helmed by Shawn Levy and Steven Knight, with both Ruffalo and Laurie joined by Aria Mia Loberti for the cast. Loberti — who is blind herself — will portray Marie-Laure, a blind teenager the story revolves around, while the Avengers star will be playing Daniel LeBlanc, the head locksmith at Paris’ Museum of National History and father of Marie-Laure. The House veteran takes on the role of Etienne LeBlanc, a World War I veteran suffering from PTSD.

First released in 2014, All the Light We Cannot See took home the Pulitzer Prize in 2015 as well as the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fiction that very same year. It went on to spend over 200 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list, selling a whopping 5.7 million copies in North America alone and an additional 9.5 million elsewhere across the globe.

There’s currently no release date yet for the upcoming limited series on Netflix, so those interested should stay tuned for more news to come.

Elsewhere in entertainment, Michael Bay is remaking The Raid for the streaming giant.
